A Video Recording of the Conference on ECE cooperation: I am on the last panel related to Infrastructural Projects in Central and Eastern Europe, where I took the liberty of comparing the spread of the realization of some of our prime regional infrastructural projects such as Via Carpatia to very similar regional projects elsewhere that are meant to tackle common infrastructural challenges. It took us 30 years to complete the motorway from one corner of Europe to the other. Meanwhile, in the UAE, China, and Africa, it takes just a couple of years to build something much bigger... It is time to start acting together to change the face of our region, for our competition already knows very well that “If they want to be wealthy, they need to build roads first”.
Bálint L Toth is completely right to correct me. It was not Chinse who came up with this saying; the Romans were before them... so why we forgot about our common European goal and aspiration and let the EUROcrats dictate to us what is possible and what is not. I am an EU enthusiast who knows that we are capable of building an incredible infrastructure that will allow us to travel faster, safer, and cheaper across the EU. The EU member states and the countries that belong to the Three Seas Initiative can work together to help us to move our region to the next level of our socio-economic transformations #YesWeCan.
I was deeply honored by your invitation Mathias Corvinus Collegium
