Airlangga University is the second-oldest university in Indonesia and a public research university located in Surabaya, East Java. Although officially established by the Indonesian Government Regulation in 1954, Universitas Airlangga was first founded in 1948 as a distant branch of the University of Indonesia, with roots dating back to 1913. It started with a medical school and a school of dentistry.

My project dealt with Indonesian policy towards Russia’s conflict in Ukraine and China’s expansionist actions in the South China Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and Oceania. ​I focused on Indonesian foreign policy and its relations with other countries in the region, such as China, India, Russia, Australia, the US, the EU, Mercosur, ASEAN, and the African Union. I want to focus on the Indonesian policy towards Russia’s conflict in Ukraine and China’s expansionist actions in the South China Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and Oceania.  I would like to gain a broader understanding of the country’s internal politics, cultural diversity, and unique culture and get to know the most distinguished philosophers from the country. I would like to investigate the opinion of the Indonesian political establishment towards Russia’s conflict in Ukraine and China’s expansionist actions in the South China Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and Oceania. I would like to scrutinize the country’s relations with various Middle Eastern Countries. At his earliest convenience, I would try to discuss the details of this project with Prof. Vinsensio Dugis, who has kindly agreed to supervise my project.
